Would have thought that it was fundamental to get this right for BD playback? A while back I had a demo of the player in a shop and I was unconvinced, this was before the majority of criticism appeared especially after the lid was opened and contents shared on here. Its stated mission is to squeeze the best performance possible out of the major optical disc formats—including CD, Blu-ray Disc, and DVD—plus a limited range of other options. Sadly as I understand it the 24p issue will only be finally fixed with the 3D hardware upgrade for the AVR Toshiba BDX Blu-ray player. To access the setup menus, including the output resolution, you have to stop the player. Here is my thoughts on its performance Arcam’s email today stated firmware release this week.
I know that its impossible to categorise just what is Audiophile but I would hope it was as good as could be for audio. Will see if this makes any difference.

As a reviewer, WHF have next to no credibility – their understanding of engineering seems nowadays to be non-existent, and their claims about “careful shielding” and “space required for discrete power supplies” in the case of the BDP just confirms this.

Here is my thoughts on its performance Should be easy to test with a particular problem disc that I have. This device, coupled with a linear phase Bessel output filter and high precision re-clocking system results in an audio performance comparable to a dedicated audiophile CD player.
